Spearheaded the $2.7 million dollar super build grant for Northview Community Centre for seniors and young people. |

Advocate for the newly opened Legends Centre in Ward 6. It features 4 NHL ice pads, leisure pool and waterslide, senior’s centre, library, fitness centre, indoor track, gymnasium and community meeting rooms. The first new facility built in Oshawa in 30 years. |

Supported the construction of the South Oshawa Community Centre, ending 20 years of broken promises by previous Councils and Mayors. |

Successfully intervened to save Pinewood, a heritage building on Centre Street that was slated for demolition. It is now open with a beautiful addition. |

Successfully lobbied Ottawa for $1.4 million in matching funds to remediate the marina. |

Supported new fire stations on Harmony Road North at Taunton Road to service North Oshawa. |

Led the charge to close the infamous Genosha Hotel strip club. |

Championed the Bunker By-law, which protects police officers and citizens from the influx of grow-houses and other organized crime by making it an offence to fortify or booby-trap a house or building that can threaten the safety or lives of those who approach the building. |

Found the brownfield site and led the building of the new Sports and Entertainment Centre in Downtown Oshawa – new home to the Oshawa Generals and future major events, tournaments and performances. The Center is under the professional management of MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment) with 90% of the profit coming to the City. |

Completed a long awaited deal to make the consolidated courthouse for Durham Region a reality in Downtown Oshawa. (Ward5) This 365,000 square foot massive development will create hundreds of meaningful new jobs, and attract further investment and jobs to Oshawa. |

Facilitated the construction of a new private parking lot south of Bruce Street, beside the new Sports and Entertainment facility. |
